Although adidas and Ye typically favour more muted tones for their delicate Eva foam silhouette, they occasionally throw a curveball with brighter shades like the ‘Glow Green’. The delightful burst of colour beautifully interrupts the minimalist design, placing the “Glow Green” among the best in the Yeezy slides collection. The “Pure” pair, sporting a monotone beige finish, gives the minimalist design new meaning. Reminiscent of the hues from the earliest Yeezy line-up, this collection was first launched in April 2021 and has since seen three re-releases. With their clean aesthetics, these Yeezys easily remain a favourite of style enthusiasts worldwide.
But it seems like both these colorways are on the same kind of sizing model. Every shoe release seems to feel a little different and so it might be a bit difficult to find your perfect fit every time. Plus, the Slides come in whole sizes only replica shoes, which makes it even more confusing. The Yeezy Slides are notorious for having the weirdest sizing ever. I ordered the older slides in a 12, but surprisingly yeezy slide, the size 11 in the Yeezy Slides Azure fits me really well.
The foam is wearing in this really interesting way where it kind of gets a little bit furry, which is a weird way to describe it, but that’s how it looks and that’s about it. The Yeezy Slide is one of the most comfortable shoes in my entire collection. Some people go up a full size, some people go true to size, but I went true to size. With the 2022 Yeezy Slide Onyx colorway, it seems like they got the sizing right compared to all the previous colorways they’ve released. In fact, I went true to size on the Yeezy Slide Ochre and it fits me perfectly.
So, again, make sure you go a half size up or even 1 or 2 sizes up if you like a wider fit. When people started to kind of know where they fit in the slides, Yeezy dropped the Orange Enflame on June 21st, 2021. The Orange Enflame was a complete mess in terms of sizing and we were taken back to square one. You can find Yeezy Slides on Adidas’ official website during releases or through resale platforms like StockX, GOAT, and Stadium Goods. Certain colors are released only once or are made in limited quantities, which boosts their desirability. Fans eagerly await these drops, often selling out within minutes.
One of the things I never expected to learn is that the Yeezy Slides is the most popular pair of Yeezys. Recently, the Yeezy Slides have become one of the most sold items on platforms like StockX, Goat, and even eBay. Yeezy Slides seem to run on the narrower end of the spectrum. The good thing is these slides will be restocking every two to three months.
Also, if you’re going to wear these with socks, you’re definitely going to need to go up because this is super tight on the upper, which is going to make it even more snug than before. In the previous versions of the Slide, I went for a size 11 and they fit perfectly. My toes come out the front and my heel sits on the rim in the back. If you can’t do that, I would even go a full size up and I don’t think it’s too big of a deal.
None of the said releases have been made known to the public. The first such release will arrive on February 29th, 2024 via the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Steel Grey”. According to an official statement by adidas, four additional Yeezy shoes will be released this season.
So, if you feel you have to wear a slide outside in slippery weather, then I probably wouldn’t recommend wearing these. But for indoors and for dry outdoor climates, these will be great. Not only is the comfort level superior, but the Sides are very stylish with their more minimalistic look. In my opinion, the elevated sole gives these a more high-fashion look. The good news is the newer 2022 versions of the Yeezy Slides feel even softer and more comfortable than previous versions.
